The XD-S Mod.2 is for the CCW aficionado who wants a small, powerful pistol for self-defense. Engineered in a slim, single-stack frame, the XD-S Mod.2 boasts upgrades from the inside out. It’s got a higher hand position, enhanced grip texturing and thin slide for comfortable carry all day and unrelenting reliability when called upon. The hammer-forged barrel is designed for both precision and wear resistance. The sights are steel and practically indestructible, while the front blade includes a tritium insert for easy acquisition in low light. A standard Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover accepts lights and lasers for enhanced versatility. In addition to two other mechanical safety systems, the XD-S Mod.2 includes a separate grip safety that enhances safety. The foolproof loaded chamber indicator located atop the slide is easily accessed both visually and by feel. The XD-S Mod.2 OSP model features a milled slide for low-profile, direct mounting of micro red dots. It also has a 3.30″ hammer forged barrel and includes both 6 and 5 round magazines.
